Based in Brooklyn. Born and raised in Austin, Texas.
Katie is a designer and maker working across film, theater, fashion, and live events. She holds a BFA with honors in Production and Design for Theater from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with minors in Entertainment Business and Film.
By recreating or distorting the familiar act of dressing oneself or arranging objects in space, her design work explores how symbols, images, and historical context inform an audience's experience of narrative.
As lead designer, her recent work includes set design for Elle Mexico, production design for Spilling Your Seed, Proper Disposal, Pipe, and Mein Shatz, and costume design for Bring It On and Clowns in Waiting.
She has contributed to productions including Sleep No More, Masquerade, Life and Trust, and Chappell Roan's festival tour.
